How to Create Your Magic Wand
The thought of ordering a custom instrument can be daunting but over the years I have devised a system that works well between my clients & I and makes for an unforgettably addictive experience!
Although it's not necessary it helps to become familiar with the models and narrow it down to a couple that interest you most before initially contacting me. It also helps to take notes of the things you'd want to change about your current instrument as well as it's qualities. Contact me either through the link on this site or Facebook and we will toss ideas back & forth and document your requests on a Work Order Sheet.
Even on standard instruments there are many no-cost options available which result in a uniquely individual instrument every time!

FOOTPRINTS
The FOOTPRINT of your instrument are all the measures and numbers that lie between the nut and the saddle. These include nut width, string spread at the nut, string spread at the bridge, string count, scale length, number of frets, radius of fretboard surface and neck carve. You may already know these numbers or they may be cloned from an existing instrument.

MODELS
Over the years and under the influence of such luthiers as Carl Thompson, James D'Aquisto and Alembic, I have sketched dozens of my own designs. Many of the favorites are seen in the following pages.

ELECTRONICS
Probably the single most important factor in the customization of stringed instruments are the electronics chosen and placement of the controls.
